2017 marks 31 successful years in business for Interpreters and Translators, Inc. (iTi). Using a paper calendar, and fulfilling most requests for interpreter services herself, CEO Elby Pagano started iTi in her Manchester, Connecticut basement in 1986. Over the past 3 decades, through hard work, dedication to quality, superior customer service, and embracing advances in technology, iTi has grown into a multimillion-dollar business with offices in Connecticut, Puerto Rico, and Colorado.
What started out as an in person interpreting and document translation services company, has evolved to provide a wide range of language service offerings. As iTi’s client base expanded throughout its history, they began taking a more solution oriented approach in order to support their clients in all their global and local language needs while delivering service excellence. In addition to in person interpreting and document translation, iTi offers over the phone interpreting, video remote interpreting, audio transcription, website localization, communication access real-time translation (CART) for the deaf and/or hard of hearing community and much more. iTi is proud to provide solutions for any type of language or communication barrier that clients present them with. Their goal is to fully support corporations and organizations worldwide in all their language needs whether that involved providing a Portuguese interpreter for a doctor’s appointment or a Chinese translation for an international contract.
In the past decade, Elby Pagano has transitioned strategic control to her son, Francesco Pagano. Having grown up in the business with a multicultural background, Francesco has intimate knowledge of the importance and value of the services iTi provides. With a successful transition, the Pagano’s look forward to the future of the company that has grown to 20+ employees across its locations in Connecticut, Puerto Rico, and Colorado along with remote workers and linguists worldwide.
